About The Shared Table
Our Story
The Shared Table is a community‑focused nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that no one spends Thanksgiving Day alone or without a warm, freshly prepared meal. Each year, we open our doors to anyone in need — individuals, families, neighbors, and those who may be experiencing financial hardship or simply seeking connection.
On Thanksgiving Day, we serve a hot, home‑cooked meal at the Muscle Shoals Recreation Center (Gym 3) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We welcome everyone: your family, your friends, your neighbors, someone who may be spending the holiday alone, or anyone who cannot afford a traditional Thanksgiving meal this year.
Our goal is simple: to create a place where everyone has a seat at the table. It’s a time to gather, share food, and experience the true spirit of Thanksgiving — community, compassion, and togetherness.

The Shared Table is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering community, connection, and compassion through the joy of food. Our mission is to ensure that every individual in our community has the opportunity to enjoy a warm, welcoming Thanksgiving meal, regardless of circumstance. We strive to create an environment where meaningful relationships can flourish, no one feels alone, and every person is valued and supported.
The Meal
We are so grateful for our incredible local partners who help made 2025 Thanksgiving special for our community. The menu was filled with fresh, delicious dishes prepared by Shoals Bistro, The Red Clay Table, Garden Gate, Rick’s Farm Market, Champy’s, Foodland Muscle Shoals, and Sweet Cheeks BBQ. And the best part? Sweet Cheeks BBQ will be smoking fresh turkey and ham on site Thanksgiving morning. Nothing brings people together like good food and good hearts.

We welcome volunteers. We need extra hands-on Thanksgiving Eve as we prepare the area for the event. We also need volunteers for the day of the event which is Thanksgiving Day. Would you like to join us and lend a helping hand?
